Old houses nestled in the less noble but more ancient Ibla, Unesco Heritage, rich archaeological site, at a few meters coeval "latomie" similar to those found in the quarry of Ispica. In and around these houses, in part prior to the earthquake of 1693, it is possible to trace paths of different dominations, homes and uses for a period ranging from before the birth of Christ to the present day. Corollary of these houses are many interesting monuments and baroque churches of the "Val di Noto". Sparkling town, birthplace of Giorgio La Pira, wet throughout its lenghth by a sea awarded, for over ten years, with the Blue Flag recognition. The houses, dating from the late 1800's and early 1900's, have been restored leaving unchanged their original structure. Some of the rooms keep the barrel vaults built with reeds and plaster, giving a pleasent sensation of freedom and well being and refreshing from the summer heat. Close to the houses is Torre di Cabrera in 1600, the ancient port of goods exchange for the Mediterranean. The houses are away from the sea from 50 to 200 meters, if you prefer, you can choose a beach of fine sand or rock. Many summer events transform this quiet town in to the small Southern Rimini, as some journalists have described it.
